        Results 13th of August:

USA  0 v 7  Brazil

Argentina  2 v 1  Canada

Brazil were worthy winners leading by 4 goals to 0 at half time. In the second match Canada were leading Argentina 1 v 0 at half time, but 2 goals in the 2nd half saw Argentina just win this very close and competive game.

        Results 14th of August:

USA  7 v 0  Venezuela

Argentina  5 v 0  Colombia

On the second day of competition, both Venezuela and Colombia, both taking part in a CPISRA Football International competition for the first time, did very well against 2 experienced International teams. In both games Venezuela
and Colombia were under considerable pressure but both managed a respectable result.

        Results 15th of August:

Brazil  15 v 1  Venezuela

Canada  9 v 0  Colombia

Both Brazil and Canada progressed into the Semi-final games. Brazil and Canada showed their experience and skill in both matches, but the 2 new countries taking part for the first time, will have learnt a lot from the experience. The semi final games will be between Brazil and Canada and Argentina and the USA. Colombia and Venezuela will play for 5th & 6th places on the 16th August.

        Results 16th of August:

Semi-finals

Brazil  7 v 0  Canada

Argentina  2 v 1  USA

Both the 2 top ranked teams progressed to the finals. Many spectators come to see Brazil perform and they showed all the skills in overcoming Canada in a very competitive match. The match between Argentina and the USA was very close with the USA having the best changes in the first half. The match was very exciting and many chances were created, but Argentina eventually won against a very good USA performance. In the finals it will be Brazil v Argentina and USA v Canada for Bronze medal positions.

Result of the match 17th August:

Venezuela v Colombia  2:2 AET (1:1, 0:1) 3:2 PSO

This was a very exciting match with over 600 spectors turning up to see the match for 5th & 6 places. After being level on 1 v 1 after fulltime, extra time was played. It was still level 2 v 2 after extra time and a penalty shoot out took place. Both teams nominated their 5 players to take the penalties and Venezuela just came home winners.. This was very entertaining for the spectors and both teams should be complimented on producing a very thrilling match on their first appearance at a major international competition.

Results of the matches played 18th August 2007

3rd and 4th place match- Bronze medal

Canada 1 v 0 USA

1st and 2nd place match - Gold and Silver medal:

Brazil 5 v 0 Argentina

It was a very even match with Canada just being the better team in the first half. In the 2nd half the USA could not convert the changes they made, by excellent defending by the Canadian team. Canada got the decisive goal in the 51 minutes and held on to achieve their first win against the USA.

In the final, in front of a packed stadium, Brazil showed why they are the top of the rankings in the Americas. After a very even start to the match Brazil started to dominate the game being 3 v 0 at half time. In the 2nd half it became more competitive, but Brazil still managed to score another couple of goal and so the celebrating began.

The final placing were:

1st Brazil

2nd Argentina

3rd Canada

4th USA

5th Venezuela

6th Colombia
