Football 7-A-Side | ||||
Football 7-A-Side is
team sport and has been played by athletes with cerebral palsy for many
years. Complete rules of CPISRA Football 7-A-Side are detailed in the CPISRA Classification and Sports Rules Manual.
Classification | ||||
| CPISRA
athletes compete within classification ranges. The classification system ensures an even playing ground for athletes to compete against others with similar abilities. Ambulant athletes with cerebral palsy classes 5, 6, 7 and 8 can participate in Football 7-A-Side. Classification is based on the athlete's functional profile and the impact of their profile on sport performance to ensure fair competition. New athletes who have never been classified are classified 1-2 days prior to a sanctioned competition. |
Competitive Opportunities | ||||
| CPISRA Football 7-A-Side athletes have opportunities to play at local, regional, national and international competitions. Football 7-A-Side is a Paralympic Sport, so athletes have the opportunity to try and qualify to compete at this international event. | |||||
